I took Emma and my camera (that I am still trying to master) and snapped a few pix.
We rested for a bit at the picnic pavilion, couldn't resist this shot.
Here's my sweet Miss Em
Ahhh, the roads these toes have traveled so far...
This one is one of my favorites... total fluke how it happened though...
As we were walking back, I heard a distinct crackling to my left and caught this doe by surprise.
Emma kept chattering away and calling to her even though I was shushing her as loudly as I dared. I was hoping to see a baby, no luck. Just this guy:
Yeah, I KNOW!! What do you think? 6 or 8 points? (I'm not sure how to tell.) Then, I totally missed the next shot, an even bigger buck!! I love seeing wild life up close like this.

Precious pictures! And love the buck photo, too! We took a break during the middle of the day from homeschooling to be outdoors as well. The weather here is glorious! Nearly 80 degrees, which is amazing since it was down to 20 the other night!
That is so cool! Especially the way you caught the deer on camera.
Precious pics of your girl too. :)
Daggone, that is pretty cool - just sneaking right up on all of the deer. The buck is a 8 pointer and the does they are beauties as well.
Wow, you go gracefully walking through the woods and sneak right up on a whole family. I take a bath in scentfree soap, sneak or attempt to in the woods to hunt deer and see nothing. LOL
Neat how that works.
Great pictures of Miss America as well, sweet loving looking daughter you all have there.
Take care, Chris
