Hi~~ This is me, waving at you!I've not fallen into a crack in the road - just hit a speed bump that slowed me down a little. :D
Remember when I posted about the volunteer potatoes ~ the ones that came up from last year? Well, I needed to mulch the garden and also plant things that needed to go in, so I dug up the volunteers. 12 pounds of potatoes - all because during last year's harvest, some potatoes got left behind. That's frugal gardening, I do believe!!

Hi back! I am just now finally able to sit down and do my favorite thing: read blogs. I know the feeling. Sometimes life is just too busy and keeps away from here. That's probably a good thing I suppose. :)

New potatoes. Yumm. I take the baby ones, boil them, peel them and then fry them in a little Crisco until they are just a bit crispy, just like Mom did when I was little.
Had them tonight for dinner. The only thing better than new potatoes is fresh corn on the cob and midwestern ripe tomatoes.

Melissa! You are so not going to believe what I just say. I think someone took your llama picture for the LOLCATS site and they said the celeb look alike was a picture of Samuel Jackson. I laughed myself in tears and thought you might get a kick out of it.
I mean, if they are going to take your photo, they can at least make it funny, yes?
